East Highland Baptist Church
Hartselle, Alabama
This project was conceived to accommodate the growing needs of the congregation at East Highland Baptist Church. This prominent location entering historical Hartselle, Alabama, meant that the addition to East Highland Baptist Church would be noticeable to many entering the town. The newly completed Baptist sanctuary, which seats 400 and included a balcony shell to allow for another 150 people in the future, is constructed of eight large arched wood beams that give the sanctuary its octagonal shape and its warm interior character.
The addition to the existing church also includes a new lobby and gathering space, new administration offices, and an 11,500 square foot basement level shell space to be fit-up in the future as a fellowship hall.
