Serving the fast-growing western boundary of the City, the Providence K-8 School is intended to play a key role in building on the strong image of the Huntsville City School system. The floor plan of the school allows for division of elementary and middle school spaces.

Located in the planned community of Providence, the new school is designed to fit well with the traditional styling and character of the surrounding new-urbanism neighborhood. The school is also intended to serve the community during nights and weekends, opening doors of its library, cafeteria, and gym for the use of local residents.
