The Rock Family Worship – Butler High Renovation

Year Completed: 2018 (Under Construction)

Project Location: Huntsville, AL

Project Size: 24,500 Sqft Existing Renovation

Construction Cost: $6,800,000

The Rock Family Worship purchased Butler High School from Huntsville City Schools in 2016 in order to relocate their growing main campus.  The Butler site offered the perfect location for where the Rock felt a need to serve in the community, as well as speak to their desire to renovate buildings that would otherwise sit vacant.

Taking place in 2017, Phase 1 includes the renovation of the existing 1970’s Butler High School Competition Gymnasium into a new modern worship space seating just under 1,600 people.  The renovation consists of the removal of the gym bleacher seating and the installation of both movable seating on the lower floor and theater seating on the upper level.  Other areas that are being altered include support spaces for the new public restrooms, pre-function areas for pastors and the praise team.

The General Contractor is JohnsonKreis Construction.
