Tanner High School - Renovations
Est. Completion: 2026
Tanner High School is a public high school located in the small town of Tanner, Alabama, serving grades 9-12. The school has a long history, founded in 1871 and is the oldest high school in the area. Chapman Sisson Architects was tasked with providing interior renovations and new enhanced front entry worthy of the proud history the school holds.
The Project is a renovation of the single-story school, approx. 63,000 SF, consisting of finish renovations throughout, including paint, flooring, ceilings, casework, lighting, door replacements, fire alarm upgrades, and new science lab, home economics lab, and media center furniture and equipment. The new entry addition reconfigures administrative space to widen the lobby and create a more secure vestibule separating visitors from the students. The lobby also creates a more welcoming front door bringing natural lighting into the lobby through clerestory windows.
