Whitesburg Baptist Church had a growing need to update several
areas of the existing campus. The oldest area of the campus
also was the area being used for preschool and daycare ministries,
and the church leadership knew that updating this part of the
campus was critical to church growth. Similar to many buildings
constructed during the 1960’s, the ceilings throughout this part of
the campus were low with minimal natural daylight. CSA proposed
opening up the second floor to make the entrance a two
story space with large windows to the exterior. This created
an inviting lobby area for both the preschool, as well as a new
beautiful entry into the main church campus.

In addition to the entrance, the new preschool renovation added
playful colors and wall coverings to modernize the character of
the space. The grand stair that addressed a four foot change in
elevation between the existing floors, includes a children's slide built in to the steps.
